ABOUT US
In Winter 2019, Brenna Metzmeier, Eowynn Enquist, Isak Enquist, Sarah Formosa, and Ted Littlemore came together to create CAMP. Our collective began as a training share, where we met twice a week to share class and movement methodologies with one another. Our group was inspired to make dance that blended our individual skills and offered us an exciting challenge for research and experimentation.
MANDATE
CAMP is an artist-run collective. We make work in a collaborative structure that prioritizes non-hierarchical creation, where each of us acts as choreographer, dancer, and director. Our work explores theatricality, comedy, and indulgence, in a hyper-performative space that embraces risk and relatability.
CHOREOGRAPHY
CAMP creates work for video, live, and installation performances. We work and perform as a group, and we also set work on other dancers and programs.
EDUCATION
CAMP is committed to fostering relationships with the communities in which we live and work, and creating opportunities for emerging dancers to train alongside us. As teachers of all ages across the Lower Mainland, each of us has a passionate teaching practice, based in our own individual dance histories. We look forward to continuing to connect with new audiences through workshops and masterclasses.
